CloudCamp made its way to Portland on Tuesday, and it went off way better than it should have, considering what little time we had for organizing it. :) Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!

88 attendees out of 115 registered… less than 25% dropoff! Definitely lots of interest in the topic.

Special thanks goes out to Adron Hall and the gang at Webtrends for providing the venue, which proved to be an ideal space for the event. We ended up running past 11pm, and Adron stayed even later to wrap things up. (side note: he’s started up a blog called Transit Sleuth about various modes of public transit; very interesting stuff.)

Cloud Computing User Group
One of the organizers, Thomas Lockney, is starting a Portland cloud computing user group… if you’re into the cloud or just curious, be sure to check it out. First meeting should be coming up soon.
